- Methods of Payment We accept the following payment methods on our website:

- Sales Tax Nauticgear Specialists is obligated to collect sales tax on orders delivered to Nevada addresses, unless exemption status or proof of export (Bill of Lading) is provided. Orders shipped to locations outside of Nevada are not subject to Nevada sales tax.
- Back Orders In the event of a manufacturer’s delay, our Customer Service Representative will notify you. If you choose to proceed with the order, we will charge you at the time of order and ship the item as soon as it becomes available. Internet credit card authorizations cannot be held pending for more than 7 days; therefore, for back orders and special orders, we must either capture or cancel the authorization or collect funds through an alternative transaction. Nauticgear Specialists reserves the right to cancel an order at any time.
- Special Stock and Scratch & Dent Units Due to limited availability, all Special Stock and Scratch & Dent outboard motors are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Sale pricing is exclusive to each unit’s Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and cannot be applied to other units.
- Special Orders Our representatives are available to assist you with special orders. Please provide all relevant manufacturer information, including model number, name, and color. Nauticgear Specialists is not responsible for incorrect manufacturer information. With few exceptions, special orders may not be canceled or returned. Items shipped directly from the supplier or manufacturer are billed at the time of order and may incur an additional service fee imposed by the supplier. Nauticgear Specialists reserves the right to cancel an order at any time.
- Returns, Refunds, & Exchanges We accept returns for most products, subject to the conditions outlined below:
- Return Timeframe: Returns for refunds must be initiated within 30 days of receipt of the order. Returns for store credit or exchange must be made within 30 days.
- Condition of Items: Items must be returned in their original condition, including all packaging, manuals, and accessories.
- Restocking Fee: Returned outboard motors are subject to a non restocking fee.
- Non-Returnable Items: Electronics cannot be returned. Special orders are ineligible for returns.
- Defective or Damaged Items: We only replace items if they are defective or damaged and notified within 10 days. A refund will be processed once the product is received from the customer. Customers must notify us of the return within 10 days and provide a tracking number to be eligible for a refund.
- Return Shipping Costs: Customers are responsible for paying all shipping costs when returning an order. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Shipping All major units purchasable online ship via UPS or a freight carrier determined by Nauticgear Specialists’ logistics team. To purchase a major unit that cannot be added to the cart, please call the Sales Team at +1 (775) 380-0866. Most items not purchasable on the website will require delivery via freight carrier or specialized hauler. Items shipped via freight to remote locations and destinations outside the continental US, including but not limited to Alaska and Hawaii, and isolated areas and islands throughout the Florida Keys, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, and Washington, may incur additional shipping costs. In such cases, a representative will contact you to confirm the shipping destination and rates. Customers may opt to cancel the order at no cost or cover the additional freight fees. For parts orders, shipping is provided via UPS Ground or USPS Priority and is determined by Nauticgear Specialists’ logistics team. Expedited shipping methods are available during the checkout process. The cutoff for same-day shipping is 12 PM PST, Monday–Friday. If you require expedited processing, please call us before or after placing your order—expedited processing cannot be guaranteed. Flat rate shipping is only available for the lower 48 US states, except for specific special delivery locations such as the Florida Keys and other remote areas and islands. Free shipping covers the base transportation cost and does not include oversized fees, residential delivery charges, limited access fees, lift gate fees, expedition fees, etc. Additional fees are added during the checkout process and listed on both the product pages and the checkout page. Please allow up to 5 business days during peak season for processing and shipping on all major units. All orders are processed in the order they are received. Customers may experience slight shipment delays due to a high volume of orders. Nauticgear Specialists is actively working towards optimizing its services to best support this increase in demand.
- Warranty Information & Damaged Goods Most items we sell are covered by manufacturers’ warranties. If you experience difficulty with a part or accessory, please contact the appropriate manufacturer for assistance and troubleshooting help or email support@nauticgearspecialists.com. We will work with you and the manufacturer to resolve any issues. For major units (outboards), please contact the appropriate manufacturer for assistance and troubleshooting help or email support@nauticgearspecialists.com. We thoroughly inspect all items prior to shipment. We suggest that you also thoroughly inspect the items before accepting delivery. If damage is apparent, refuse delivery or if your parcel is left without a signature and damage is found, please contact Nauticgear Specialists Customer Service immediately at +1 (775) 380-0866. Do not discard the box or any packaging materials.
